The controversial Westboro Baptist Church made headlines this week after announcing it would be protesting the funerals of those killed during Friday's massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
The church's decision sparked instant controversy as many voiced their contempt for the group on social media and elsewhere. Even hacktivist collective Anonymous got in on the action, hacking Westboro Baptist Church servers and releasing members' information to the public. The church's spokesperson, Shirley Phelps-Roper, even had her Twitter account hacked.
As Internet users this week searched for more information about the Westboro Baptist Church, they turned up a video recorded last month of comedian Russell Brand interviewing some of its members in a conversation that constantly pushes the envelope.
The interview has since been flying around the social web, and you can watch it above.
